The work of Westcor Media Ltd. is well known to most residents of the BC interior. For over 10 years we have produced “The Shuswap Road Show” which runs every summer (May to October) on all the cable stations in the Shuswap area from Chase to Sicamous. We also produce a summer and winter “Best of Revelstoke” show for the Revelstoke area. These tourism videos are designed to show the viewer what they can do and see when they are visiting these two great tourist areas in the interior of beautiful British Columba.
We encourage all hotels and motels, in the Shuswap and Revelstoke areas, to place a supplied tent card on every tv set in their establishment directing the guest to the community channel where the 15 minute show is playing every hour.
Those who advertise in “The Shuswap Road Show” and “The Best of Revelstoke” are also showcased on www.vistrevelstoke.com or www.visitsalmonarm.ca or www.visitshuswap.ca and www.visitwesterncanada.ca
If you are interested in advertising or want more information on the shows or websites contact our sales representative Norman Embree (250) 804-3459 sales@westcormedia.com

Fred Bird Bio: I started my career as a commercial photographer in Toronto, Ontario and opened my first photography studio in the early 70’s. Through the 80’s and 90’s I specialized in food photography working for blue chip clients like Campbell Soups, Canadian Egg Marketing Board, Canadian Living Magazine, Carnation, General Foods/Kraft, Kelloggs, Heinz, IGA Foods, Lipton’s, Loeb Stores, New Zealand Spring Lamb, Ontario Pork Board, Seagrams Distillery and Standard Brands to name a few.
I was best known for my food photos that appeared monthly in Canadian Living Magazine, starting with their first issue in December 1975 and continuing through to 1995. As a result, I have over 5,000 food images to sell as stock photography.
I moved my studio to Salmon Arm, BC in September 1994 to pursue a more relaxed life style and to live in an incredible beautiful setting.
I work a lot, these days, in high definition video and with the new affordable cameras, the internet and the ever changing digital world I will never stop learning my craft.
Photography is still my passion, whether it is stills or video. Capturing a beautiful image still stirs my soul.
